Personal Work
After I had so much fun the year prior, I knew I wanted to make another Star Wars Day animated post. The only problem was the idea struck only a week away from May 4th. I knew I had to get to work immediately. There was no time for a full storyboard, so I had to create a mental storyboard and edit on the fly. I also experimented with new animation techniques that focused on strong keyframes, and limited easing. This added to the excitable nature of the Jawas. The sketchy pencil lines of the characters was not only a choice to save time. I love the style of Disney films such as 101 Dalmatians, The Sword in the Stone, and The Jungle Book that used Xerography to maintain the animator’s lively drawings. This style introduces texture that really brings the animation to life.
